There is something tranquil about the fog and mist of the Pacific Northwest, and its mystical ways of making the perfect Pinot Gris grapes. As you sip our Pacific Pinot Gris, the flavors will conjure up thoughts of peach and Asian pear along with continued undertones of anise and white pepper. It has aromas of fresh cut grass, spring flowers and citrus fruit. On the palate, the wine is dominated by more citrus flavors such as lemon drops and apple. It is nicely balanced with a creamy finish that lingers into more lemon and kiwi. This is a flamboyant white wine sourced from the Traisental region of Austria. Grüner Veltliner, like many Chardonnays, is a medium-bodied, fruit driven wine, but this one is complete with a big yet harmonious texture. Hints of apple, pear, grapefruit, honeydew, honeysuckle, banana, and peach hit your palate and linger with a light hint of sweetness to balance the natural acidity. This wine pairs nicely with spicy Asian dishes, asparagus, and is one of the few wines that appropriately stands-up to artichokes.
